August 2019- spiritsEUROPE welcomes the joint efforts of several leading US trade associations of the alcohol beverages sectors to urge USTR not to impose additional tariffs on EU spirits.
The European and American spirits sectors are closely intertwined. We have a longstanding track record of working together to promote global free trade, and we have consistently opposed the imposition of tariffs. The spirits industry on both sides of the Atlantic is united in its support for global free trade and will continue to press for the de-escalation of damaging tariffs, urging parties to find a solution to the dispute without impacting unrelated sectors.
